A loan helped to pay for his car's maintenance and polishing in addition to renewing its seats.

Hussein's story

Hussein is a 61-year-old Palestinian refugee father of two children who fled to Lebanon with his parents more than 40 years ago. He is residing in a Palestinian refugee camp where most services are scarce. He is working as a taxi driver for transporting students and workers in his area to maintain his children's needs.

After his previous loan had helped him in paying for some of taxi expenses, he is acquiring a loan again from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua to pay for maintenance and polishing in addition to new seats.

The striving father wishes he can improve his living situation through increasing his income to provide his family with all what they are deprived of.

This loan is special because:

It benefits refugees who have been marginalized.
