A loan helped to buy tattoo equipment.

Jessica's story

Jessica, 20, has no children and lives near the city of Oruro with her family. She is studying fine arts at university, is in her third year and works to pay the related costs. She started a tattoo business two years ago, designing tattoos and applying them. She normally works on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, from 2:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. She is applying to Fundación Sartawi for a loan, her first, and will use it to buy new equipment for her tattoo business. The investment will allow her to continue working and making enough money to support herself and her studies.

When asked about her hopes for the future, Jessica said that she would like to grow her tattoo business but her over-arching goal is to finish her university degree.
