A loan helped a member to grow her second-hand clothing business in order to make more profits and to pay for her children's school fees and clothing.

Somfida Group's story

The Somfida group has just finished paying back its first Kiva loan with regular repayments. Bibata, the leader of the group, thanks the Kiva personnel and lenders for their support. She used the loan money to buy and sell second-hand clothing. The profit from her sales has allowed her to buy clothes for her children, to pay for some family expenses and mostly to grow her business.

Bibata still needs a loan to operate her business. She wants to buy enough supplies to satisfy her customers, to have a good turnover and to be even more successful.
