A loan helped to buy seeds and fertilizers, in order to grow organic produce.

Mamura's story

Mamura is 28 years old, married, and is the mother of 4 children. She has a secondary education. For 10 years Mamura has worked in farming and livestock breeding. As her primary source of income, Mamura grows herbs in her greenhouse, such as dill, parsley, and cilantro. Owing to her determination, purposefulness, and hard work, today she has 4 cows, 20 sheep, and a 0.75-hectare plot of irrigated land, where she grows water melons and tomatoes. Mamura's monthly income from her farm is around 20,000 KGS. She has applied to Bai Tushum Bank for a loan of 150,000 KGS for purchasing fertilizers and seeds, so she can increase her income from growing organic crops. The income resulting from the loan will help Mamura increase her herd and buy a car.
