A loan helped to buy more teaching materials and employ more teachers.

Nathan's story

Nathan is a single man and he describes himself as honest.

He operates a school where he provides educational services. He has been involved in this business for over a year. His business is located in a good area, and his primary customers are locals from south coast Kenya.

Nathan describes his biggest business challenge as inadequate working capital. He will use the 100,000 KES loan to buy more teaching materials and to employ more teachers. His business goal is to have a well established school within five years.

This is his second loan with SMEP Microfinance Bank. He will use the anticipated profits to build more classrooms.

This loan is special because:

It enables rural borrower access to funding at competitive rates.
