María Rosario's story

Maria Rosario S. is 52 years old and resides in the Municipality of Armenia, located in the Sonsonate Department. She lives with her husband, her mother, and her two grandchildren, one 10 and the other 8 years old, both of which attend school. Maria is a very enterprising woman, whom watches over the wellbeing of her family and wishes to contribute just as much as her husband towards their household expenses in order to never have to be in debt. She owns a store that sells perishable products. In addition, she sells comestics such as hair gel, nail polish, and deodorants, which allows her to earn some extra income. She is seeking out a loan so that she can increase the quantity of products in her store. She has owned her store for five years and even now, she finds it difficult to stock it with all of the necessary items. For this reason, she hopes to obtain products that are in high demand, such as basic grains, soft drinks, and meat. Ultimately, she wants to increase sales so that she can provide a better life for her family, who depend heavily on her and her husband to move ahead.
