Glenda's Group's story

Glenda B. is from the village of Imurong, Baggao, in the province of Cagayan. She is 40 years old and serves as the leader of this 10-member group loan offered by ASKI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults.

Glenda is married and has 4 school-aged children. To make a living, Glenda farms rice and has been doing so for over 23 years, earning approximately 4,000 PHP a month. Glenda joined ASKI last year to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Glenda has successfully repaid a 7,500 PHP loan from ASKI and is now requesting a second loan of 14,000 PHP to be used to purchase fertilizers.
