Rosalia's Group's story

Rosalia T. is from Barangay Lawig in the municipality of Lamut, province Ifugao. She is 46 years old and serves as the leader for this 11-member group loan offered by ASKI. While each member of the group receives an individual loan, they are all collectively responsible for paying back the loans of their fellow group members if someone is delinquent or defaults. The official name of this borrowing group is Rosalia T. Group.

Rosalia is married and has 2 school-aged children. Rosalia owns a general store where she sells daily use products like shampoo, soap, and toothpaste. Rosalia has been in business for over 3 years and earns approximately 4,000 PHP a month.

Rosalia joined ASKI last year to gain access to financial services to help improve her living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Rosalia has successfully repaid a 5,000 PHP loan from ASKI, which she used to purchase additional goods for her store. Rosalia is now requesting her second loan, in the amount of 7000 PHP, so she can buy new items for her store. She hopes to earn additional revenue so she can improve the living conditions of her family.
