A loan of $350 helped to buy food products, ingredients for her dishes.

Maria's story

Maria is 45, and lives in her own home with her husband, Marco (50), and her two children Bárbara (19) and Isaías (7).

Since she was very young she liked to make different types of food and desserts. This has helped her because 2 years go she began a business selling food in a stand in one of the markets in her area. She runs this business along with another woman and she is very happy because she makes good money every day. The products that she sells are muffins, sweets, drinks and other foods. Maria wants to work while she still has the strength. That is why after she finishes at this stand, she moves to another stand in the afternoons where she continues selling food. It’s tiring, but she knows that as long as she can, she will continue so that can give her family a better quality of life.

And as an entrepreneur, in the future she would like to expand the business and set up a restaurant. Her dream is to end up with a chain of restaurants in different areas of the city.

The is her first loan with MFP and she promises to be punctual with her payments because he would like to be able to access more loans in the future. Maria is planning on using the money to buy foodstuffs to supply her businesses and offer a greater variety of dishes.
