A loan of $350 helped increase merchandise.

Ernestina's story

Ernestina is 46, and she lives in her own house with her four children. Jesús is 24, Joseph is 18, César is 15, and Lidia is 13.

Each day is a new journey selling different products, which vary according to the season, as a traveling salesperson. For example, during the school season she sells school uniform accessories. During the summer she sells sunglasses. This is the way she earns a living walking up and down the streets. What she likes is that she gets good earning. What she does not like is walking all day underneath the hot sun. Also, when she sells on the street she is fearful that the police that prohibit street selling will confiscate her merchandise. Even so, she likes her work because it allows her to pay the family expenses.

As a very hard-working woman, in the future she plans to set herself up in a fixed stand in a commercial center where she can sell her different products with greater tranquility.

This is her sixth loan with MFP. She promises to be punctual with her payments because she does not want to cause problems for the members of the group. She wants to keep progressing in order to make all of her dreams come true. The money she is now requesting is to buy merchandise to keep selling and saving the money for a future stand.
