A loan of $400 helped working capital.

Catalina Concepcion's story

Sra. Catalina is 29 years old, and is a single mother with a 3 year old son. She has a business selling general merchandise such as clothing, shoes, cosmetics, and school supplies, etc. She began this business when she had her first son, as she was looking for an alternative source of income with which she could offer the necessary care for her little son. It should be highlighted that she has been working in the free-trade zone for two years, and she takes advantage of working there to distribute her products to her work colleagues. She is currently requesting the loan from the Fundacion Leon 2000 in order to be able to buy items, principally school products, since she wishes to take advantage of the sales that are nearing with the beginning of the children's school year. Catalina hopes to strengthen her business so that she can move away from the free-trade zone and spend more time with her business in the company of her son.
