Houda is a 29-year-old married mother of one child. In 2004, after having her first child, she decided to help her husband in supporting the household by selling accessories and working as a hairdresser from the home. Over the years, she has been able to build up a growing number of customers for her beauty service and accessories business.
Today, Houda is requesting to borrow $1,000 USD to buy additional accessories and beauty products for her customers. She hopes that this will help her increase her income.
Due to political and social challenges in Lebanon, personally identifiable attributes entrepreneurs may have been altered to protect their privacy (i.e., blurring portions of the borrower's picture, not indicating a name and location, etc.). Vitas appreciates Kiva lenders' understanding of these challenges and encourages them to continue their support for Lebanon's borrowers.
