Trabajando Para El Mañana Ii Group's story

The Communal Bank "Trabajando para el Mañana II" (Working for Tomorrow II) consists of sixteen members. All of them are enterprising and hardworking women. They live in the District of Callería in the region of Ucayali and operate various retail businesses selling products such as groceries and cosmetics.

The group president is Sra. Biqui Melita, a hardworking woman from the District of Calleria. She is 30 years old and a mother with two dependent children. Biqui manages her business and has the support of her husband, who is a motorcycle taxi driver. She has been a member of this Communal Bank for 1½ years. Her dreams are to open a discothèque in the “maloca” (an ancestral long house) that she owns and establish a store.

At the moment, the entire Communal Bank is requesting a loan of 6900 soles to invest in their various businesses.
