Elena's story

Mrs Elena is 40, and lives in the Juanjui District, in the Mariscal Cáceres Province, San Martin Department. This member belongs to the communal bank “Santa Rosa de Lima”. She is in a common-law marriage and has 3 children, 1 who is still in school and is her dependent. She herself went up to third year in secondary school.

Elena is a happy, persevering woman who is capable of getting ahead. She tells us that little by little she has been fulfilling her goals and dreams, always being able to count on her husband’s support.

With her first loan of 500 new soles, she bought: shirts, blouses in all the sizes and styles, for women, men and children. She is currently working selling used clothing. She has regular customers who know her and know about her business. It is located in her own home, in a well arranged area.

With this 3,000.00 new soles loan, she will buy clothing such as:pants, shorts, sneakers, blouses in all sizes and styles, polo shirts and girls’ dresses.
