Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Nueva Asuncion Group's story

The Community Association Nueva Asunción is made up of 8 members with various businesses and skills, including running a sewing workshop, tailoring jackets, and knitting sweaters. Martha B. is 35 years old and married, and has been knitting sweaters from her home for the past six years as well as taking care of the usual household responsibilities. Sales of her jumpers take place in the different fairs around the city of El Alto from Monday to Sunday.
