A loan helped a member to buy fertilizers for her crops.

Nyakahama Tukwatanise Group's story

Rose will use her requested loan to buy fertilizers to apply on her crops in order to obtain better yields. She is a divorced woman with three children who are in school. Rose is responsible for paying their school fees. She is a farmer and also has a business of selling “bushera” [a traditional beverage made from sorghum]. Like all caring mothers, Rose desires to provide all of her children a higher education. She says that she will keep working hard to meet all of her children’s needs, but she normally falls short due to limited capital needed to boost her business.

Rose is a member of the group “Nyakahama Tukwatanise”. The extra person in the photo is a member of the group, but is not participating in this loan.
