A loan of $775 helped to buy a cow and guinea pigs.

Priscila Alexandra's story

Miss Alexandra S. is a member of the San Bartolo Communal Bank, whose members live in the La Libertad community of San Bartolo, about 30 minutes outside the city of Cuenca. It’s a very beautiful place with a natural beauty and exuberant vegetation. The community bank is formed by members of a family that joined together in search of better days for their children and also to continue growing their businesses.

Alexandra S. is single. She is 20 years old and lives in the sector la Libertad in the canton Sigsig. She lives with her parents who are dedicated to agriculture and livestock.

Alexandra raises guinea pigs and cattle. She also makes cheese that she sells in her community. With the income she obtains, she contributes to the household expenses. This is her third cycle with the foundation, and she tells us that the loans she has received have allowed her to buy her animals. Now with the loan that you give her, she’s going to buy a cow and guinea pigs in order to increase her farm.

Her biggest dream is to buy a little house and some land.
