A loan of $2,875 helped a member operating capital.

Los Angelitos Group's story

The community bank "Los Angelitos" (The Little Angels") is represented by Sra. Sandra Herry and is made up of 11 members who are in their third loan cycle. They demonstrate punctuality with their payments and they have a lot of desire to work, as they demonstrate in their sales businesses of selling raw and cooked fish, clothes, empanadas, food, and cosmetics. Some of the members have other businesses such as motorcycle taxi drivers and domestic services. The president sells fresh fish that she brings early from the river slope, and if she doesn't sell it in the morning, she cooks it in the mid-afternoon so as not to lose the daily profits.

She has three daughters with her husband, who fishes with her very early in the morning, because that is when the fish are at their peak. She has a modest but cosy small house, which is where they have their meetings with the members. Like all businesses, they have competition, the majority of the members of this group have their sales stand in the fish market, located in the 13 of April region, so therefore there are always sales of cooked plates or fresh fish.

The use of the loan is for the growth of their businesses, and in the future they hope to have sales stands in other city markets. They will invest in the purchase of supplies and raw materials for storage. As for their experience in Agrocapital, they are in their third cycle and their credit antecedents are regular with the insitution and the majority of the members in this group have had experience in community banks in other institutions.
