Rosa's story

Rosa, 54 years old, lives happily with her husband Norberto (62), her daughter Carla (26), her son-in-law and her grandchildren.

For 12 years she has worked making sweaters with her industrial machine. At first she did it to help her husband with household expenses, but now this work has become the main livelihood of the family. Rosa works for wholesalers and, according to the orders they give her, she makes all sorts of sweaters from wool and from linen, depending on the season. She sells them at a good price, thus obtaining good profits.

On the other hand, she enjoys the work a lot, because it is peaceful and she can do it in the comfort of her own home. Furthermore, this hardworking woman also sells beer out of her house. She is doing really well with this business, as the drinks are well receiving during the weekends.

For the future, she is thinking of expanding her knitting business and beginning to sell things herself and not through middlemen.

This is her second loan with MFP, and she promises once more to be responsible and punctual with each of her payments, since she has many projects in mind and has hopes of bringing them to fruition. She is thinking of investing the money she is requesting in the purchase of linen to knit a larger quantity of sweaters. She would also like to buy clothes in order to begin selling them, as there are already people who have been asking her for clothing.
