A loan helped to purchase 4 dairy cows to increase cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Asel's story

Asel successfully paid of her loan. She is grateful to Kiva and everyone who helped her with financing. She now owns five cows and a 0.96-hectare plot of land, on which she grows beans.

Asel has a contract with a local factory to supply organic milk for further processing into dairy products. This will allow her to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Asel has come to Bai Tushum Bank for another loan, knowing that she can receive it on the security of a contract for future deliveries, as part of the Value Added Chain project. She requested a loan in the amount of 200,000 som in order to purchase four dairy cows to increase cattle headcount and sales of organic milk.

Payments from the factory for the milk will be directly deposited into Asel's bank account, which will then automatically become payments toward the loan. Proceeds from the loan will help Asel begin construction on a new home for her family as well as purchase plots of land to further expand her farm.
