A loan of $1,100 helped purchase laying hens and chickens.

Oldemar's story

Oldemar U. F. is 22 years old and single. He lives with his parents and six siblings. He is requesting the loan to raise laying hens and chickens. He also wishes to construct a chicken coop and other arrangements on the farm. With this investment, he hopes to grow his business and be able to increase his income so he can improve his economic situation. This is the first time Oldemar has been financed by Kiva partner FUDECOSUR, and he tells us that the credit committee has greatly helped him and provided him many facilities when applying for the loan. He hopes that this project will strengthen his business and increase his sales, thus offering his family a better quality of life and more economic stability.

The Foundation for the Development of Southern Communities is dedicated to economically empowering its clients by providing credit and capacitating programs to improve living conditions of micro-entrepreneurs and their children across Southern Costa Rica.
