Hassan's Group's story

Hassan, pictured above, has been a farmer for more than 20 years, and is now proud to represent his group of 11 farmers in Mumias District. He is 42 years old, is married and has two children.

Hassan likes to think of himself as a very hardworking individual. He has been working alongside One Acre Fund since 2018 and decided to represent his group because he likes being a leader. He says that being part of the One Acre Fund community has meant that he has learnt a lot from farming training. Hassan plans to use the profits from this coming season to send his children to school.

In total, Hassan’s Group will receive inputs to cultivate 7.75 acres of land. Some members of the group will also be purchasing a solar light.

In this group: Hassan, Ayub, Wilikista, Abdalla, Abdalla, Jackline, George, Bonivenja, Rashid, Alice, Sylvester
