A loan helped to purchase school supplies for resale.

Micaela's story

Micaela lives in Port Lara and runs a kiosk from which she sells school supplies.

Micaela would like to improve her business. She is therefore requesting a loan that she will use to purchase school supplies, like notebooks, pens, white and striped sheets, and other merchandise, to sell to her customers. She anticipates that the loan will help her to increase her profits because at this time of the year sales increase as children need their school materials.

This will be Micaela's second Kiva loan. She was very responsible about repaying her original loan.

This loan is special because:

It empowers the most vulnerable women in Panama by extending access to financial services.
