Paola's story

Paola M. C. is 18 years old, single, and has no children. She lives with her mother. The loan she requests would help her to purchase breeding animals, enabling her to raise livestock and earn money for herself by selling the animals once they have grown to a sufficient size. Paola's earnings from raising livestock will help her and her mother to achieve greater success and enjoy a better quality of life.

This is the first time that Paola has worked with FUDECOSUR to finance herself, and her new opportunity to work with livestock demonstrates how the credit committee has been able to help her and facilitate opportunities for her to improve her life. Paola hopes that through this project she will grow and achieve her objectives, and that through her success she will some day be able to offer a better quality of life and greater economic stability to her mother.

The Foundation for the Development of Southern Communities is dedicated to economically empowering its clients by providing credit and capacitating programs to improve living conditions of micro-entrepreneurs and their children across Southern Costa Rica.
