Vanny's story

Vanny is 19 years old, a single woman living with her mother and brother. She and her mother make and sell khmer cake as shown in the photo. She has been running this business for 1 year.

Vanny has applied for a loan of 700 USD through Kiva's field partner Chamroeun to buy rice, milk, coconut and other materials for making her cakes to sell at the market. Using the loan, she will be able to earn more income to continue her business as well as support her family's living standards. She hopes that she can grow her business and renovate her home.
