A loan helped to improve her pigsty and her barn, so her animals can be better protected.

Georgina's story

Georgina is 50 years old and lives in the municipality of San Marcos. She is a divorced woman with 3 children whom she loves very much and she has become a great entrepreneur. Georgina works raising pigs and chickens which she started 4 years ago. She has been doing very well, especially after getting a loan funded through Kiva, which helped her be more productive. She is very motivated to keep moving forward and to keep looking for success. Georgina lives in a post-conflict town with a lot of poverty and not many job opportunities, so being an entrepreneur is the best way she can help her family. She wants to keep pushing forward, so she is asking for a new loan to improve her pigsty and her barn, so her animals can be better protected.
