Xiomara Indiana's story

Doña Xiomara is 58 years old. She has been dedicated to a number of businesses selling items such as food, pupusas, cosmetics, clothing, and shoes in order to generate income. She has raised six children, of whom one is a university student. Her husband is a merchant who sells vehicle spare parts. He provide supports to her business and helps with covering the household expenses. In addition, the Institution has helped her grow her business. Since she has been able to sell a wide variety of products, her clientele has increased as well as her available resources.


With this loan, Xiomara will purchase school clothes including skirts, pants, shirts, socks, and shoes. She will also acquire a cooking grill for preparing pupusas. She already has one, but another one is needed so that she can keep up with customer demand. Xiomara currently sells her products at the park in the Máximo Jerez division. Her pupusas sell very well because of the rich flavor and their prices are cheaper than those sold in the capital city of Managua. She also sells cosmetics at the same location. In the future, she want to equip a location in her home with display cases so that she can exhibit her products.
