A loan of $375 helped purchase merchandise for her store.

Carolina Del Pilar's story

Carolina is 20 years old, single, and the oldest of four siblings. She lives at home with her parents in the village of La Legua in the District of Catacaos, Piura Province. This community is located three hours and twenty minutes away from the city of Chiclayo.

Using her savings, Carolina opened a small grocery store in her parents’ house. She tells us she started this business because she wanted to help her parents with the household expenses and the education of her siblings. Her store offers her customers all types of groceries and beverages.

Carolina wants to expand her business by purchasing more products to offer to her customers, but she does not have sufficient capital to take further action. For this reason, she is requesting her first loan from Edpyme Alternativa in the amount of 1000 soles so that she can achieve her objective.

Carolina is a responsible, active, and enterprising young woman. Her greatest dream is to continue growing her business to the point when she can convert it into a mini-market.
