Tereza's story

Tereza is 50 years old and is a woman who has worked hard all her life to improve her quality of life. She lives in her own home with her husband Enrique, also 50, and her greatest wish is to have a peaceful life as she grows older.

Her business is located in the Tupac Amaru market (an important market in the city of Juliaca). She sells clothing and her stall is one of the busiest ones because she brings the clothing she sells from Lima. For this reason her stock of clothing is modern and of very good quality.

What she likes most about her job is chatting with the neighboring vendors in the market, which makes her long workdays more pleasant. She has been doing this work for 12 years and thinks the hardest part is staying at her stand all day awaiting customers. In time she would like to expand her stall in order to make it more comfortable.

This is Tereza's first loan with MFP and she has promised to be on time with her payments. In her Communal Bank she is known as a happy person and she always has advice for other members. With the 1000 Peruvian Soles she will buy more clothing to help grow her business.
