A loan of $350 helped purchase of inventory: clothes.

Ermelinda's story

Ermelinda, 21 years old, is a very hardworking and unassuming woman. She lives in her mother's home (Hilaria, 50 years old) and what she wants the most is to improve her quality of life.

Her clothes stall is located in the Tupac Amaru market (an important market in Juliaca city). She sells specifically women's clothes and she is a very good saleswoman, because she always sweet-talks her customers into buying more than one item from her.

What she likes best about her work is chatting with her neighbouring stall owners. She has been doing this for 6 years and she thinks that the hardest part is having to stay all day in her stall without being able to go out.

For the future, she hopes to put together enough money to set up a clothes store.

This Ermelinda's first loan with MFP. She knows she has to pay back on time to keep her Communal Bank members out of trouble. She's well liked at her Communal Bank. With the 1,000.00 PEN she will buy more clothes because she wishes to stock up better her stall.
