Aurelia's story

AURELIA, 36, is a member of the "PRODESARROLLO" communal bank. She lives in Pisac, Calca province, Cusco department, which is 40 minutes from the city. It is a small village that houses some beautiful Inca ruins; a must stop for any tourist on her way to Cusco.

She is married and has three children, 14, 12, and 7 years old, respectively. She juggles her domestic chores, such as caring for and feeding her children, with commerce. She sells crafts in Pisac's main square's crafts market. She has a crafts stand where she sells such items as: earrings, decorations, alpaca scarves, flower vases, ashtrays, keyrings, and many others. She requests funding to invest in her business; she will buy supplies to make crafts.

She is grateful for and values the opportunity given her by this means and pledges to repay in a timely fashion.
