A loan of $4,000 helped create original artwork, support local artists, engage the community, and gain working capital for my business.

Adam's story

I loved growing up in Rochester and enjoyed being surrounded by so much diversity and culture. A few years ago I was diagnosed with Depression and Anxiety Disorder and dealt with feelings of isolation and inadequacy.

I once was devastated by this diagnosis but was given hope with the help of my doctors and many healthy lifestyle changes. I became to create art and to visit local art galleries and museums. Creating and expressing through many art forms and mediums allowed me to heal and having a creative outlet helped to combat my depression.

Through my creative journey I was able to meet many local Artists and experience them create, using their amazing talents. I began to ask why I did not see their works in local art galleries. I wanted to find a way to support artists that seemed to be overlooked.

I am happy to say that I am feeling my very best and creating ways to support others has helped me to heal.

This loan is special because:

This loan helps a young entrepreneur bring art to the city of Rochester.
