Eduarda's story

Eduarda is 32 years old; she lives with her common law husband and has 2 children: fifteen year old Leida and ten year old Lisbeth. Eduarda gets up very early each day to do her household chores, such as preparing breakfast and sending her children to school. She and her husband earn a living by selling frozen chicken. She sells spices in Urubamba’s old market and has had this business for several years. It has gone well thanks to her effort and dedication. Eduarda will use the loan to buy more spices, such as pepper, cumin, salt and dry chile. She is a member of “VILLA RAYANNIYOC”, a communal bank of the Arariwa Association, and is very grateful for this opportunity. She promises to pay back the loan according to the payment schedule. The city of Rayanniyoc is half an hour away from the city of Cusco.
