A loan of $775 helped purchase of charcoal, yams, sacks of corn and beans.

Akouvi Rose's story

This woman lives in the Agoè Atsanvé neighborhood, which is an outlying section of the city of Lomé. She is married and the mother of two children. In 2003 she began a business selling charcoal and yams. This allows her to contribute to her family expenses. She gets her supplies further inland in a small city called Notsè. Her supplies have diminished somewhat; in order to restock, she is seeking a loan from WAGES to buy 12 bags of charcoal, 50 yams, three sacks of corn, two sacks of beans, and other items.
