Mario is a very hard-working 33 year old man. He is married and has four children. He lives with his family in an indigenous community in the municipality of Esperanza, Intibucá. He earns his living in agriculture growing potatoes. He has been doing this for 23 years. He sells his production to local middlemen. His crops are located on agricultural land in the same community where he lives.

Mario is requesting a loan from the institution for the amount of 15,000 Lempiras to invest in the purchase of 8 bags of fertilizer, 6 bags of chicken droppings, 10 bags of lime and agro-chemicals to maintain his potato crops. This loan will help him improve maintenance of his crops. His goals are to remodel his house and provide his children with education.
