A loan of $500 helped buy firewood, water and corn flour to make tortillas.

Felix Cantalicia's story

Mrs. Felix Cantalicia G. is 49 years old and lives in the Sosa neighborhood in Tegucigalpa. Cantalicia’s job is to make and sell tortillas, which she has been doing for several years. Every day she gets up early to start work and makes a large batch of tortillas. A custom in Honduras is that tortillas are a food that are eaten three times a day (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Mrs. Cantalicia needs a loan at this time to purchase wholesale materials, so she can increase her earnings. She also is receiving more orders and is having a hard time keeping up.
