A loan helped a member to stock more groceries in her shop.

Vashavi Group's story

Jestina is a married woman who resides in Budiriro. She is a 43-year-old mother of four. Jestina’s business helps her husband in payment of school fees and the daily upkeep of the family. She is a member of the Vashavi group which now consists of two members. Jestina runs a roadside grocery store and a preschool which she started in 2017. She restocks her groceries from South Africa and at times locally.

Jestina’s preschool popularity is increasing daily due to her good marketing strategy. Justina is also planning to restock in bulk her grocery stall. With need of financial help she approached Thrive for a further loan. The group received a loan of $2000 and Jestina got a portion which she used to stock more groceries for her shop. She also benefited greatly through the training from Thrive Microfinance on entrepreneur skills and techniques.

Jestina greatly appreciates the help she is getting from Thrive and it's partners.
