A loan of $300 helped purchase materials & supplies needed to maintain her pineapple crop.

Martha's story

Sra. Martha R. R. is 48 years old, married, and lives in the neighborhood of Pilas Orientales. Her husband is a farmer and trader. They have seven children, three of whom live independently. The next two children work by performing household duties. The youngest two children pay attention to their older siblings. The entire family has been involved in agriculture for twelve years. The main problem they have encountered is the lack of support from government agencies. It is difficult to find a great deal of assistance with their crops. Thanks to the support of her husband, Martha was able to move forward with her harvest.

She is now in need of additional capital in order to maintain her pineapple crop. With this assistance, she will be able to harvest a quality product that commands a high selling price. This will guarantee that her family can recoup the money they have invested and use it for new projects.
