Al Yamama Group's story

Hamida is a 40-year-old Syrian refugee and the mother of a big family who escaped the bad security conditions in their hometown and who now reside in Lebanon after searching for a peaceful place.

She works hard all day under the sun and the rain in the agricultural fields to help her husband in covering their eight children basic needs.

She's the featured borrower of Al Yamama Group, which consists of two hardworking Syrian refugee women. Hamida is the lady sitting on the right side of the picture and Hanaa is the lady on the left side.

She got along with Hanaa to acquire a refugee loan product from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua to buy gasoline for the heater in order to keep her children warm for all the winter season.
