A loan of $525 helped to buy more young animals to grow her business.

Maria Hermelinda's story

María is a 26-year-old mother that lives with her three children, ages 8, 5 and 1 years, in the Taymi settlement, Tucume district, located an hour from the city of Chiclayo.

Her husband works in a mine in the city of Cajamarca. The desire to progress and move her family ahead has driven her to also begin to work. For five years she has been dedicated to the breeding and sale of animals. She raises all kinds of animals behind her house and sells them to the merchants that occasionally visit the zone where she lives. On the other hand she also works as an agricultural laborer.

Maria desires to expand her animal sale business in order to obtain more income and to stop working as an agricultrual laborer. Because of this she has seen the need for the first time to request a loan of 1500 new soles from Edpyme amleternativa. She plans to use the money to purchase more animals to achieve her objective.

She is a hard-working and responsible mother that always thinks about the welfare of her family. Her neighbors and acquaintances respect her very much. Her greater hope is that her husband might work closer to be able to have all her family reunited.
