A loan helped a member to buy some livestock to resell.

Sababougnouma Group's story

In this group's photo, Kalilou is the man wearing a white jacket and raising his hands. He is 51 years old, married, and the father of seven children, five of whom go to school. He works as a farmer and also raises cattle as an additional activity. With the profits from his previous loans he was able to feed his family and he met his financial and material needs.

Kalilou is a devoted and honest worker. He buys his cattle at the Grand Market in his commune and he resells his animals at the local market, which allows him to make good profits. Kalilou wants to use his new loan to invest in his cattle raising business. His main challenge is the epidemic which sometimes kills his livestock. Kalilou is very happy to cooperate with Kiva/RMCR. He hopes that this will be the beginning of a sustainable partnership.

In this group: Kalilou, Alou, Fousseni, Arouna
