Em H., 40, is married and lives with her five children in Siem Reap province, Cambodia. Em H. raises chickens and pigs, earning US $3 per day to help support the family. The family is also supported by her husband who helps her raise the animals at home, earning US $3 per day.
Em H. and her family members work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family. They are seeking to improve their businesses as well as cover the necessary daily expenses. Em H. is requesting a loan of US $1000 from CREDIT, Kiva’s partner. She wants to use the loan to purchase more pigs and wood to build a pig cage. This is her first loan from CREDIT.
