A loan of $2,925 helped a member working capital.

Luz Del Camino Group's story

The "Luz del Camino" ["Light in the Path"] Communal Bank is represented by Ms. Rosa Rosmery and maD. of 11 members, all very hardowrking. A big part of the members are married and have families composed, in the main, of 3 members. These are humble people of rural origins but with great expectations of growth, as they show in their stalls selling food, blankets and white linen, cosmetics, general supplies, eggs, oil, household articles and elctric household appliances.

Rosa Rosmery has been selling bedcovers for the past 5 years, while Celia Lourdes has been selling household items for 10 years. Juana has been selling comforters for 3 years, Salome Maria has been selling meals for the past year, Frida Roxana has been running a hardware store for two years, Nancy Patricia has been working at a copy shop for the past 3 years, Claudia Daniela began selling cosmetics a year ago, Heidy Nadir has had her grocery store for the past 6 years, Zaida Emilia has been selling women's clothing for 3 years, Leonor Maria has been selling lunches for the past 3 years, and G. Rosario has been selling oil and eggs for the past year. Most of the members work hard to surpass the competitors because their homes' support depends upon it.

The loan will be destined to increase the working capital in their businesses and invest in the purchase of raw material and merchandise to continue growing and generate a better profit that will enable them to offer their families a better quality of life, a stable home and a good education for their children. Most of the members already knew this modality of loans through Communal Banks thanks to similar loans with other microfinance institutions but they are happy to work with Fundación Agrocapital, which offers them its economic support and, more importantly, trusts in their work and performance.

In this group: Rosa Rosmery, Celia Lourdes, Esther Juana, Salome Maria, Frida Roxana, Nancy Patricia, Claudia Daniela, Heidy Nadir, Zaida Emilia, Leonor Maria, Rosario
