A loan of $500 helped to buy hammocks, ornaments, and sandals.

Israel Baltazar's story

51-year old Israel Baltazar A. lives in Usulután Department with his wife and children. He has sold hammocks for more than ten years. Israel is grateful for his life since he is blessed with a business of his own which allows him to provide his family with all the necessities. This is his main motivation for working hard every day.

His hammock business is located on one side of Usulután’s City Hall. Very early every day Israel loads up his hammocks and takes them from his house into the streets of Usulután where he hangs them from the walls of City Hall. He sells as many as possible hoping to earn a good profit so that he can provide a better life for his family.

For this reason he is asking for a loan so that he can buy more hammocks and other items typical of El Salvador such as sandals and handcrafted ornaments. His wish is to improve his business.
