Hen K., 23, is married and lives with her only child in Siem Reap Town, Cambodia. K. is a housewife, while her husband is a recycler who travels everywhere in the province to collect and buy recycling materials. He has been in this business since 2006. K. and her family members work hard and help each other to ensure a good standard of living for the family, and they are seeking a loan to improve their business.
K. is requesting a loan of US $1200 from CREDIT, Kiva’s partner. She wants to use the loan to purchase a motorbike and more recycling materials. When asked, K. said that the motorbike will help her husband transport his materials to sell at a factory so he can generate more income for his family. This is her second loan from CREDIT.
