A loan helped buy a new professional sewing machine and some additional threads and cloth for her business.

Aqsa's story

Aqsa is a 23-year-old woman. She lives with her children and spouse in Sialkot. She wants to ensure a better future for her children and wants to educate them but her husband's income is not enough to fulfil her dreams. Therefore to help her family meet their living expenses, she has been stitching clothes for the past 3 years.

Her current sewing machine is outdated and requires replacing along with purchasing an inventory of colorful threads, laces, buttons and artificial gems. However, due to limited finances available, she has been unable to do so.

To meet this challenge, she has requested a loan so that she can buy a new professional sewing machine and some additional threads and cloth for her business.

Aqsa is very grateful to Kiva and JWS Pakistan.
