A loan of $1,075 helped to buy fertilizer and medicines for her animals.

Martina's story

Martina is 39 years old and lives with her parents and 3 children in her own home.

Since 12 years ago, she owns a stable that she set up in her home and she breeds cows and bulls. But she also has a grocery store and has some land for crops. Martina needs time to take care of her business and her small children.

It is because of this that she has the support of her parents, who help her with the store and to take care of her animals.

Martina believes that her greatest profits are when she is able to sell her animals after a few months of raising and fattening them up and she considers that she does not invest too much in it as she feeds them alfalfa that she herself cultivates.

This is her 12th loan with MFP (Kiva’s field partner), and she is very happy to be a part of a communal bank since it has given her many pleasant experiences with the people in the group. The money that she needs will be used to buy medicine for her livestock, as well as sacks of fertilizer to plant more alfalfa.
