A loan of $675 helped to buy pants, blouses, t-shirts, shirts, etc.

Jenny Beatriz's story

The Totoracocha communal bank was formed in Cuenca, a city that enchants with its historic city center, its culture, traditions and gastronomy. The beauty of the four rivers that flow through the city center offer a unique vista. This bank is made up of hard-working, visionary women willing to get ahead in life through training and their own businesses in order to form part of the economically active population. Jenny Quintuña, 25, is single and lives with her parents in their own home in this beautiful community of Totorachocha. She sells clothing in her house every day; she has been in this line of work for 4 years so she has a regular client base. This is her second loan cycle. Her previous loans have been used to buy merchandise to fill orders from her customers. The new funding will be used to buy pants, blouses, t-shirts, shirts, etc. in order to have varied stock of men's, ladies', and children's clothing available. Her goal is to enlarge her business.
