A loan helped to buy 12 packages of yarn and to save to pay for her children's school fees.

Fatimata's story

Fatimata is the mother of four children who attend school. She is a weaver and has been weaving high quality traditional pagnes (local cloth) in a neighborhood on the outskirts of the capital for five years.

Fatimata is on her fifth loan cycle with the MFI YIKRI, and is asking for a loan to buy 12 packages of weaving yarn so she will have more traditional pagnes to meet the demands of her customers. She plans to use the income to reinvest in her business and save to pay for her children's school fees.
