A loan helped to purchase more medicine to sell.

Favor's story

Meet 40-year-old Favor from Liberia. She is married with three children. All of her children are in school while living at home. Favor deals in a business which sells medicine. She has been in this business for the past eight years. She works 15 hours per day, 6 days a week and has had no problems with her business.

Favor requested this loan from Brac to purchase more medicine to sell to grow her business. She says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family and to educate her children. In the next five years, she wants to build another drug store. She extends her thanks and appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
